Interior Design Style

As this was a public library that is designed to create a long term environment for people from all ages and all societies, I chose the style of the public library to be contemporary as it is one style that continues to evolve overtime and develops to whatever our present everyday style is.

Given that it is a library the first idea as a concept was paper, that is used for everything within the environment; studying, printing, drawing and books. Looking deeper into the base of paper it goes back to trees and wood. Therefore the circular shape and the basic colors of a tree trunk was taken as a concept of the interior space. However contradicting the idea of cutting down trees and helping the environment the digital idea of working systems was taken in consideration in order for the design to obtain a sustainable library environment.
