Residential ID- Villa Re-Design

A university project where a villa was re-designed in fit for a family of four along with a maid; father was a petrol company owner, mother was a beauty salon owner, daughter in a university age and the boy attended school. For a family of four, original design was very solid on the outside and inside therefore light and cool colors, textured materials, general luminous lighting and French type doors and windows were used to create a lighter and less solid atmosphere indoors.

Interior Design Style

The villa was designed with the modern style in mind, as it is used to portray a comfortable and calm interior. The color pallets and furniture portray simplicity within every detail. I combined natural materials and neutral colors for the modern style to be comfortable to the human eye

The concept I chose to portray throughout the villa interior is taken from the nature of AL-Salt city in Jordan and its plants and farming advantages. The rose was chosen in specific to be abstracted because of its many details and its uniqueness of not growing from the ground but being bought to grow.

Going back to the ancient times "Sub Rosa", under the rose meaning secrecy. Romans would hang roses from the ceilings of halls to be understood that anything said was to remain confidential. Where else of a home could you have a secret and comfortable place to be?

After abstracting I found many shapes and designs to be used into furniture/walls/flooring and accessories maintaining a modern style.
